The Unwelcome Visitor

A week ago, in the evening while we were listening to an audio book, this critter showed up in the greenhouse.  He was after the cat's food. We breathed a sign of relief when the fat old skunk tottered off, and quickly shut the cat door!
apparently the cats are too well fed...
checking for any dropped pieces
not a scrap left

21 August 2017 - Remarkable sign in the Heavens
Very dark, but more notable was the 20 degree drop in temperature

How Mama Hummingbird Became an Empty Nester

Here's the rest of the story:
July 6 - getting bigger
July 7 - Two in the bed and the Little One said...
July 8 - Move over! Move over!
July 9 - They all scooted over and One hopped out...
July 10 - Not quite ready to leave home
July 11 - Becoming more adventurous & moving up in the world
July 12 - And the Little One said, Ahhh, a bed to myself!
July 13 - A soggy bed, due to heavy rain
July 13 - Leaving the wet bed
July 13 - The Empty Nest, soggy & broken down from heavy rain a couple of days earlier
Mama Hummingbird was too camera shy to catch...
And we were out of town for a bit, so this post resumes about a
week after the initial post ends in the photo documentary.
